The Plaza at Woodcreek sits near the base of Crested Butte Mountain Resort, about 100 yards from the Silver Queen lift and close to the West Wall lift. It's right on the year-round bus route, making it easy to reach the transit center or downtown Crested Butte without driving.
What sets the Plaza apart from the Grand Lodge and Mountaineer Square is space. Every unit is a full-sized condominium — two or three bedrooms, two or three bathrooms, a full kitchen, gas fireplace, private balcony, and an in-unit washer and dryer. These are real homes on the mountain, not hotel rooms with kitchenettes. Families and groups who want to cook dinner, do laundry, and spread out across multiple bedrooms will find more livable space here than anywhere else at the base.
The building's amenities lean toward relaxation and recreation: indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a sauna, steam room, the Iron Horse Tap restaurant and bar, and tennis and pickleball courts. There's no pool — for that, head to the Grand Lodge or Mountaineer Square, both a short walk across the base area.
The Plaza is self check-in, but the Traverse Hospitality office is located right at the entrance of the building — so guests in our managed units have local support steps from their door.

Every Plaza condo has a real kitchen — oven, stovetop, full-sized fridge, dishwasher, and cookware. After a long ski day, the ability to make dinner in your pajamas and not leave the building is a serious perk. Stock up at the grocery store across from Mountaineer Square.
Around the Base & Downtown
The base area is a short walk — Coffee Lab, Hefe's, A Bar Above, and Highlife Crust & Crafts at the Grand Lodge. For the full restaurant scene, the free shuttle to downtown Crested Butte's Elk Avenue runs every 15–20 minutes from a stop right at the building.

The Plaza is on Snowmass Road, just off the main loop — close to the lifts and the base area, but set slightly apart from the busiest part of the village. The free bus route stops right at the building.

30 miles south, ~35-minute drive via CO Hwy 135. Seasonal nonstop service from Denver, Houston, Dallas, and other major hubs.
By Air — Denver (DEN)
230 miles east — a 4 to 4.5-hour drive via US-285 or I-70. Many guests fly into DEN and make a scenic road trip of it.
By Car
Take CO Hwy 135 north from Gunnison into Mt. Crested Butte. The Plaza is on Snowmass Road, just off Gothic Road. Free covered parking is included.

Free Mountain Express shuttle stops at the Plaza — connecting to downtown Crested Butte every 15–20 minutes. Most guests park once and never drive again.

No pool — but the Plaza has indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a sauna, and a steam room, all currently operational. For a pool, the Grand Lodge and Lodge at Mountaineer Square are both a short walk across the base area.
Is there a restaurant on-site?
Yes — the Iron Horse Tap is on the ground floor, serving burgers, pub food, and Colorado craft beers on tap. Having a restaurant in your building is a big plus on cold ski nights.
Is there a front desk?
No staffed front desk — the Plaza is self check-in. However, the Traverse Hospitality office is located right at the entrance of the building, so guests in Traverse-managed units have local, in-person support steps from their door.
Are pets allowed?

Does it have air conditioning?
No. Like most Crested Butte properties at this elevation (9,375 ft), the Plaza uses fans and opening windows. Summer nights are typically cool. For A/C, consider the Lodge at Mountaineer Square.
How big are the condos?
The Plaza offers spacious 2-bedroom/2-bath and 3-bedroom/3-bath condos, most sleeping 6–8 guests. All units include full kitchens, gas fireplaces, private balconies, and in-unit washer/dryers. These are among the largest slope-side condos at Crested Butte — genuinely home-sized, not hotel-sized.
